Flip Progress Day 234873

I know you have been trying to get through these sleepless nights just WAITING for my flip update.
These posts are extremely interesting, educational, and entertaining.
I understand that the information leaves you yearning for
MORE! MORE! MORE!

N.O.T!

I just ask to please be patient with me during these boring next few weeks of 'flip' content.
It's selfishly for me, because my memory fails quite often and I want to look back on this 'flip' experience and have lame ass pics to remind me of the 'WTF' kind of hell I got myself into!

Nearing the end of week 3, I am starting to feel like we are finally on the down hill coaster.
Progress has been kicking ass, with the exception of my pot headed drywaller who took a week to do what would normally take two days.
Yeah, I FIRED his ass!
[I think I even scared myself with my words!]

This is a CHECK list of everything that has been accomplished since last update:
-popcorn ceilings scraped-CHECK
-ceilings and walls textured-CHECK
-old pink bathroom demolished-CHECK
-entire house painted two tone [ceilings white/walls tan]-CHECK
-new kitchen installed-CHECK
-cultured marble bath surround installed-CHECK
-new wiring in kitchen and new outlets and light switches throughout entire house-CHECK
-back door and stairs painted-CHECK
-scraped off old oil based paint around perimeter of ALL wood floors with a toothbrush-CHECK

The next few weeks will consist of laying vinyl, installing appliances, buffing wood floors, cutting baseboards for kitchen/bath, installing bath vanity/mirror, hanging blinds and  all lights.
I am still within my time budget of placing it for sale by August 1st.
I am NOT within my price budget that I had allocated.  I will be about $2000 over budget due to unexpected electrical expense and because I hired a painter to tape and spray the rooms.
After spending 5 freekin hours, and a full gallon of paint in one bedroom closet, I decided that it would take me til the 10th of forever to finish this house if I had to roll it all on my own.
I feel good about how it's looking, and I have trust that I will still come out financially ok on it :)

And if not, well that would SUCK a BIG paint stick!

Riv felt very caveman busting up the floor tiles.

Pink bath tiles were taken off with sheet rock attached.
[I tried to chip out the tiles without damaging underlying sheet rock, but that was unsuccessful]

New custom formed cultured marble bath!

The ceilings and walls texture turned out great!
I'm still iffy on the wall paint color though.
It's one of those that looks tan in a certain light and almost pinkish in another.
Pinkish=not good

The kitchen made the whole house feel like a home again.
I was so excited when I watched them build it, that I might have peed my pants just a lil.

A sample of the glass/tile back splash I will put up.

FLIP DAY 2789653......Being Donald Trump is fun.....
YOU'RE FIRED pothead!

WOW! Lookin good Jol. I can't believe the difference those cabinets made. Updated it back into this century. I need to look into it for my kitchen cupboards actually :) It's inspired me and made me realize that it won't be as expensive as I was thinking. Can't wait to see the whole finished product! Keep up the good work.
