Chasing waterfalls

Auntie E told me about these beautiful waterfall braids.

It's so feminine and boho fairy-like.
This would be pretty for a wedding if you put in pieces of baby's breath or daisies.

I attempted this braid on myself and decided that until my wrist is no longer in 'kung fu' position, I may want to put new hair styles on hold.
It looked like I gave a 4 year old free reign to my locks and told them to make it look twisted, lopsided, with as nappie-ass bedhead as possible.

I will figure it out at some point.
I love playing with hair and different styles....
Always have from as far back as I can remember.
Somewhere along the line, I've pissed off the hair Gods though.
I was given 2 boys that require a #1 clipper buzz cut!
If I'm real lucky, they let me put a dibble dabble of pomade in the finger length top!!!!
Where is the just in that?????
Maybe it was all those years of toxify-ing the universe with Aqua Net in the pink can?.?.?
Curse you 80's!!!!
You lied to me.
You told me, "the bigger the hair, the closer to God".
Now I realize that it was the 'Heavy Metal Gods' that they were talking about.

Wish I had Lively balls

I LOVE Blake Lively's style.
Simple.
Clean.
A little BOHO.
Sexy.
Feminine.
You just can not go wrong with a structured jacket and jeans!!!

If I had 'Lively' balls, I would totally wear this!!!!

I wonder if this is her own fashion sense or if she has a stylist??

boot extenders anyone?

Last night was Jax's first psych intake with a doctor.
Yes, I said last NIGHT,
as in,
we were in counseling when most people are getting ready for bed!
Very weird hours for therapy,
but hey!
I asked begged for this and I will not complain.
But I will just throw in this little tidbit of info as to the length of time we spent at the doctor's office.
The appointment was at 6 pm.
We were not done until 9 pm!
3 hours of going over Jax's entire life history.
tick.......tock!
The clock was painful.
BUT, This doctor is very thorough and intrigued by Jax's story.
I think he is a smart one and will hopefully give us a good direction of where to go from here.

There was a point where he had Jax in his office to talk alone.
[I've never really liked letting my kids be alone in a room with an adult...even if they have a P.H.D. after their name.  Makes me uncomfortable because I trust very few to care for my kids.  There are plenty of horror stories out there to make a person untrusting!  I also don't ever want my kids to feel like I abandon them in a room to have to fend for themselves.  If only there were an impenetrable bubble to stick these kids in!]

I took this quiet time to read and get the worries out of my head.
The awesome selections in the waiting room rack consisted of dozens of outdated magazines.
While flipping through the  October  2011 issue of Woman's Day, I noticed an article/ad for boot extenders for people who have a hard time finding boots to zip over their calves.
(I know Paula and Emily have talked about this being a problem before)
Check this out!!!

The website is  widewidths.com
I love this look of adding an animal print to a plain black boot.
I would buy these just for the fashion of it!

So, in conclusion, I hope that my hours upon hours of sitting in a waiting room can benefit someone
through hot looking boots that are comfy on your legs.
:)

Rockin' on the red!

This is my  fav dress of the Golden Globes 2012.
I think it worked perfectly with Emma Stone's hair and make-up.
This couture tells me that she is a cool, rockin chick that can make something edgy look red carpet svelte.
The leather belt with the big metal eagle is brave, ballsy and the best fashion bling choice that I have seen in Hollywood for a long time!

In my opinion:  Perfection!

Oh, but I do have my choices for the worst dressed too....
but I'm feeling nice today so I won't totally dog on all the red carpet fug's.
[Michelle Williams, Jessica Biel and Sarah Michelle Gellar]

A ten head

What is it with the new
"bleaching your brows"
fashion trend??

I was intrigued by the eyebrow statement when I saw
The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo.
[a very intense, suspenseful movie that sticks to your ribs]
The blonde brow contrast against her black hair adds a craziness, yet kickass look that accentuates her personality.
I totally thought it worked for this character,
but was shocked to see that it was in an issue of Vogue!!!!

I personally like color on my brows and will continue to shade them in.
Looking like I have an albino 10 head without expression,
is not something I would enjoy.

This newest trend is a NO for me!

Slapping out the tempo

My secret talent wish is to be able to walk in heels taller then 2 inches without looking like Frankenstein took over my lower body.
Nothing is worse than seeing a gal 'trying' to walk normal in a pair of stilettos,
yet has a large gapped,
side to side strut,
with a heel-toe slapping out the tempo
keeping perfect rhythm with the song on the radio-O-O.
[throwin' in a lil' eddie rabbit for you old timers]

My lack of talent while walking in Jimmy Choo's is totally ruining my style control.
Do you have any idea of the rockin, kick-ass outfits I could put together with a pair of CFM boots???
I feel like I have a fashion disability, and that I should be given mercy from my insurance company OR the fashion police,
with a certificate for free Botox in my foot balls!
AND while we are at it,
I could use some in my forehead.....
and armpits.
Please.
[just putting that out there to the fashion Gods]

And to all of you that CAN walk in barbaric 6 inchers.....
you are not human,
and you will be given the Indian name,
'bitch-who-walk-on-sticks'
 from here on out.

jealousy brings out the best worst in me.

{before I looked up the words to "driving my life away" from eddie rabbit,
i thought the song said,
"flappin' at the 10-4,
keeping perfect rhythm with the song on the radio"
geez!...all these years singin' the wrong lyrics!}
