Ms. Daisy Mae

Daisy Mae
March 8, 2000-April 22, 2013

The coolest "bitch" I know, drifted into a peaceful sleep at our home with the help of a mobile veterinarian.
She was a tough broad, and lived stubbornly as the years brought tumors, warts, deafness, and defiance.

She taught Jax empathy, responsibility, and kindness.

She gave River a trustworthy confidant, a snuggle buddy, and compassionate, unconditional love.

She allowed Randy to be part of her life.....
he did pick up her poop after all!
But she made sure that he knew she didn't give a damn about his opinion with her glares and lack of following his orders.  Her bark was definitely louder than his.

My Daisy-girl made me a believer that a dog and a human can have a love and connection for each other with only trust and loyalty as the verbiage.
She pushed her way into my heart and owned it for her/my lifetime.
She truly was one of the loves of my life.
She was a tramp around the neighborhood, but a dedicated companion in our home.

She is greatly missed.

Her remains were placed at The Best Friends animal sanctuary in Kanab.  Her name will also be on a plaque along side other canines who are buried with her in 2013.

Many pictures are to follow.
They are for Jax, who reads our blog at his hospital......
And truth be told, they are for me too :(

Thank you for that loving tribute to a tough but loving pet. Only a dog or animal lover knows that they
make us better people by their example of loyalty forgiveness and love.Iwill miss Daisy when I come.

Wow...seeing all the pics of Daisy makes me realize how long you've had her. The boys were so little. She's been a fixture in your family,in your homes and mostly in your hearts. I'm so sorry your shadow is gone Jol. I know how hard it's been on you. She was a cool gal and I'll never forget all the incredible and disgusting things you did for her to make her life better. Here's to Ms. Daisy Mae....tink tink :)
