A 30 mile highway robbery

This is a bill that I received to have Jax transported 30 miles from one facility to another.
[I followed in my own vehicle and could have taken him myself]

I DON'T GET IT!!!!!!!
I JUST DON'T FUCKING GET IT?!?!?!?!

I apologize for the harsh language but I am outraged and disgusted that the hospital talked me into using an ambulance for the transfer AND for any company to use families in a vulnerable time to rape them of their hard earned money and cause further mental anguish.....
just because THEY CAN!!!!!!!!

This one just happens to be the worst of them all so far, but I have a stack of thousands of $$$$$ that would make you sick.
I'm this close to shingles and an ulcer just thinking about it.
I can't even imagine the stress that families go through just to keep their children alive due to life threatening illnesses, let alone the medical bills that are DEMANDED to be paid before their own living expenses.
Hard working people lose everything to pay for a life.
IT'S WRONG!!!!

Oh Canada, Oh Canada.....
why can't I live in your country right now????
Please Obama care, DO SOMETHING!!!!!!

I am outraged, speechless.
My good friend has had knee surgery with many complications, and
her hospital bill is now over 160,000 thousand dollars. Yes insurance pays some , but then insurance is also expensive!

Your anger is so justified. If we question the people in charge they make us feel like idiots for even questioning them. If you have to pay it, send ten dollars a month!
Maybe they will reduce the bill if you offer a cash settlement.

Oh girl....you know I can totally go off on insurance bullshit but this comment box isn't big enough to accommodate all that I have to say about it! RIDICULOUS! You could have chartered a helicopter to transport him for that cost! As usual-it's the honest working, middle class Americans that get screwed. Based from experience, they will reduce the bill if you are willing and able to pay them in one lump sum. Also, based on my experience working in the healthcare industry for so long, it's not the Dr's and facilities who dictate how much things cost.....it's the health insurance companies and their contracts and fee schedules with them. It's complicated and of course...money and politics is the root of it. It is in dire need of transformation and it has been for decades. Something else that leads to the astronomical cost of healthcare...ridiculous lawsuits-do you know how expensive a physician's quarterly malpractice insurance premium is? Let's just say it makes this bill look like pocket change. My point is, there are many factors that contribute to our ridiculous healthcare costs. I don't see it changing unless the physicians and facilities demand change though...the root of the problem: Insurance companies. They are EVIL and have very smart lobbyists protecting their interests.

Hey-it's too bad you aren't one of the many who knows how to work the system and finds out how to finagle a way to get qualified for Medicaid (welfare) so you don't have to pay one single cent and get all your healthcare at the expense of the tax payers. I won't even get started on that!

Let me know if you need any help writing appeals letters or anything to these facilities or your insurance company.
